Addressing the root causes of childhood hunger

Through the Our Children initiative, The Indianapolis Star works to make life better for children in Central Indiana. We are seeking innovative grant proposals that address the issue of childhood hunger while working to alleviate or eliminate the need for food assistance.

We are seeking programs and/or collaborations that extend beyond basic food assistance and work to address the root cause of hunger.

Grant requests up to $50,000 will be considered.

Applicants must be a registered 501(c)3 charitable not-for-profit organization or school corporation.

Pilot projects are encouraged.

Proposal concepts are due by 11:59 p.m. June 30.
